Serious question deserves serious answer
Why is it that at least on reality shows or other "real life" TV shows that so many gay men have lisps? Like what does being gay and having a speech impediment have to do with each other? Also, which comes first, the lisp or the sexuality?
I am excepting all serious and possibly some comedic answers.
It's so you can easily identify the gay guy. So he's either chosen because of the lisp, or he's told to fake it. I mean, who would believe a gay guy that looks and acts.... normal?
i know a few gay people one chick she has big ass lisp. As for the guys, they don't. You can tell their gay by their voice or at least I can, but no lisps.

Not their voice but their manerism/body language.
Also a lisp is a speech impediment. What Donald is referring to is more along the lines of an "accent" or simply the way they talk.
I am just assuming that because of their "flamboyance" and their attempt at sounding more female-like, that high pitched voice is just a result of that.
There are other gay people that don't talk that way but simply prefer a hot beef injection.
I actually hate when gay people put on a lisp or change their voice to sound stereotypically gay.
I have gay friends who don't do this and who do this. In one occasion the guy always had a strange voice.
I think it might have to do with a chemical imbalance... Maybe? I just speculate. With less testosterone it's reasonable they don't have deeper voices and act more feminine right? ...right?

Yeah, it seems to be much more prevalent on television. So either they are specifically looking for gay guys with speech impediments or they are asking these guys to ham it up. I know several people who just happen to be gay in real life and only one acts like a "bitch." I feel comfortable saying that because even my gay friends say that he acts like a bitch. I actually like the guy but he really pours it on sometimes. He also apparently wants to grab my ass.....I would like to avoid this.
You might be on to something there with the low test/chemical imbalance thing. Maybe someone should do a study on feminine acting men and hormone levels.
