This is a thread about my NHL 2004 Dallas Stars Dynasty. I play it since October 2003 and finished 17th season just few weeks ago.
Huge number of great games in the past and probably even more excitement to come in the last 3 seasons of Dynasty!
I really love this dynasty. It's now +4 years of playing it and I'll try to keep this thread interesting not only for Cole and me.
I am the playing owner of this franchise. I made Brett Hull my GM and coach after his retirement (He retired after 2006/07 season). I'm the only guy that's playing with this team since the first year and also the captain since season 2008/09 (Modano's retirement).

2020 NHL ENTRY DRAFT TOP PROSPECTS
All real players have their real info with birth day and month, but the year of birth is for sure changed
Spoiler
Dallas owns 2nd, 3rd and 5th overall picks. Stars traded 2 star players, (one of them was 94-rated 1st-line right winger, Jarome Iginla) and 2 talented youngsters to get these picks. 2020 Entry Draft is pretty strong. With prospects like Jonathan Toews, Erik Johnson, Patrick Kane, Cole Jones or Wojtek Wolski there is no doubt about it.
There are rumours about Stars wanting gritty defenseman with ability at both ends of the ice, Cole Jones and promising right winger, Pat Kane (to replace Jarome Iginla).. but Islanders own 1st overall pick.
2020 Stars Final Roster with new lines will be announced soon after the draft.
I will post news with screens/movies (youtube), if something big/interesting/crazy/unbelievable happens.
Wow, your office looks spectacular compared to mine. I'm in my fourth season of NHL 2004 with Toronto and I haven't come close to winning the Cup. I'm playing on difficult setting. What setting are you playing on?

16 Upgrade Points! LOL!
Diff with my own settings and edited tuning.viv file.
16 upgrade points because I don't use them anymore. ;p I have most things at max, but home rink and away at 8 and 7, just to make it harder. Most of best teams in my dynasty have everything at max since about 2 seasons. Phoenix is one shitty franchise (last team in almost every season and not much upgrade points... they are a bit better in last 2 years).
Wow someone still playing NHL 2004 absolutely love that game, are there any real updates still around for it because I'd like to bust it out and play again. Will definatley keep and eye on this

There you go, Cole.
These new RBK's base on 92/93 Minnesota North Stars jerseys. I made few changes to make them look fresh, exactly like I wanted.
3rd, dark green jersey from this series is planned on 2020/21 PO.
For me, 2004 was definitely the best NHL game to date. I'm having quite a bit of fun with 2008, but 2004 was just the most realistic for me. I remember having some UNBELIEVABLE games.

Glad to see someone is still playing it!
Thats why I love this game. Most of games is great, some of them are just unbelievable. Even if I have 10-game winning streak or so, I winning most of them by one goal or in OT/SO. Sometimes it's just crazy. I love how the CPU teams response when I starting play dirty.
This season should be even more exciting, because top CPU teams are getting stronger than before and my team will be weaker after trading Iggy (94 ov) and a 89-rated winger.
Thanks for the link Phil seems like the only update missing is a RBK jersey one which the guys at Flyermania's forum are working on. I booted this up and played some games last night and it was great I got my ass handed to me a few times and won a couple of games just and a few convincingly which is what I loved about it in the first place.
► With the 2nd overall selection of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, the Dallas Stars are very proud to select, born Salem, Massachusetts, Defenseman Cole Jones.
► With the 3rd overall selection of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, the Dallas Stars are very proud to select, born Buffalo, New York, Forward Patrick Kane.
► With the 5th overall selection of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, the Dallas Stars are very proud to select, born Oxbow, Saskatchewan, 7’0 Giant, Forward Rick Boynton.
► Number 2 will be used in Dallas first time since Derian Hatcher left the club in 2008/09 season. The number was never retired before, but 'the two' was untouchable for +10 years. Owner, Phil Alkievicz and GM/Coach, Brett Hull both decided after the draft to give this number to a biggest Derian's fan on the planet, promising rookie defenseman Cole Jones.
►Brett Hull:"I think it's a good decision. The kid lives in Dallas since years, he is Derian's big fan and was always a die-hard Dallas Stars fan. He wore this number in juniors when we scouted him all those years and it would be odd seeing him with something different than '2'."
Phil, your presentation of stuff is always so incredibly awesome. Not only that, those jerseys are shaaaaaaaarrp. Great job so far and you haven't even played a game yet.
►► • First time in the league history there is eight +90 rated teams. 6 on the West and 2 on the East. In the 2017/18 season we had six +90 teams (4 on the West and 2 on the East) and that was old record.
