Look through the command line window after running the BHImport(don't close it). If there is any error message (maybe except for the "czonegoalies.viv/.bh"), that should be the key to find a corrupt file.
So what do I do if I don't have a backup gamedata folder and my viv.file has been deleted?? HELP
Then you do like the first post tells you to do.
Insert the game CD/DVD, copy the gamedata folder to your hard drive, and then add the missing .viv file from the backup gamedata folder you just made to the main NHL 08 directory.
ok, that's fantastic. What about us morons who did the EA download and don't have a cd? I've made one copy in my program files and another in my My Documents folder. I think I killed my program files copy, and safari sa goodie for my other copy. Just cross my fingers and hope for the best?
yeah, i'm lazy. I've done it once before. I was hoping there was a shortcut. Also, it looks like I don't have the BigGUI program. I've got the ImpBIG, Fshx, and a couple different BHImport programs. I'm sure I'm just doing all of this horribly wrong, but I'll keep plugging away till I get it right.
1. I installed some add-ons in the past like arena pack 08, ice 09, and so on.
Everyting works quite perfekt
2. Now in my season (after 13 games) NHL crashed after selecting shot
accorate screen when I want to play MTL vs BOS (Bosten at home)
3. When I try to play that game MTL vs BOS as a quick game without season
it works perfekt !!!!
4. Last add-on I placed was RDrutka Full Jersey Pack, but I am pretty sure
that could not cause this kind of problem, right?
After some trys without any success, I simulated the game.
Next game MTL vs PHilly (MTL at home) works quite perfect......
So I am really worried now, that all away games will chrash
Game was running fine and then I installed all kinds of addons game was running sweet.
I decided to get some of the latest 09 jerseys for my 08 game. Namely Chicago and St. Louis and from what I read only the torfs wouldn't be in the game but that was ok with me since I know how to put in torfs now. I already had the 3rds for those teams in the game before somehow without the proper torfs when it was working, I should have just went and put some in...but noooo too dam simple I figured I would just grab the latest 3 09 jerseys for those teams........
I accidentally ran BHIMPORT and while it was running hit it again and had 2 of them running simultaneously before the 1st one closed. I have since ran it again to see if this would help.
Now my game crashes after the selection screen on any jerseys. WHY ME NOOOOOOO I am so dam frustrated, I just read the flow chart above and don't know what to do right now.
Might I add after this I had already had my jerseys.viv and jerapt.viv backed up and put them back in their respective folders and ran BHIMPORT and still no luck.
On the flow chart above I end up at do you remember the last addon added.
Ahhh tried the archive method above and no luck. Add sarcasm.....back to back days with reinstalling, there's always tomorrow for the hat trick. Increase fonts and add swear word >>>>>
All reinstalled it actually didn't take me that long to do but still a unnecessary pain, it was of course my fault, just got to put some torfs in now.

I made some update (facepacks,cybercafaces,jerseys and icepack 2x) and the game runs perfectly except for one thing: it crashes when there is Los Angeles as one of the 2 teams (it doesn't matter if is home or away), and it crashes in every game mode (exhibition,dynasty or season), independently if LA is my team or my opponent, but I can use Kings' players in shootouts, FreeForAll, and National teams.
Any idea on what the problem could be?

I just discovered that happens with San Jose and Nashville as well, with all the other teams works perfectly.
I checked the rosters and they are ok, and so are the IDs.

I have reinstalled the game and have been going patch by patch and checking the game. I was wondering it it may be the glass patch, as that is a NHL 08 patch. If it isn't that, maybe the Jobing Arena is my problem. The 2X ice works good right now as do the boards, cyber faces, jerseys, goalies and roster, etc.
did u try and see maybe it is the arenas for them teams
I try to play them at home with my current rosters and it crushes, but I play them at home wiht Fantasy Draft rosters and it doesn't crash.
The game crushes even if I play them away, so I don't really know what the problem could be.
My problem was that I had the wrong glass update installed. I've reloaded all patches and now have no problems. Can even run the 2x ice with the new arenas and it runs great.
I have a problem with NHL 09. When I start a game and the loading screen appears, after a few seconds, it appears a screen that says, nhl09 has to stop working ... and the program stops. My computer uses VISTA. Can you help me?
