TOMAHAWK is proud to announce... Full NHL/AHL Icepack for NHL09
Hey guys. Most of you know me from the AHL icepack that I put out last season. I plan to put another AHL pack out this year, but I wanted to go ahead and put together a high-quality, accurate NHL pack as well. This time around the pack will be available in both 2X and 1X formats.
The pack will include:
Ice textures for all 30 NHL clubs and 29 AHL clubs,
Accurate, hi-res ads and team/arena badges,
Properly font-matched on-ice text,
Custom detailed snow textures,
Detailed diffusion effects
I hope to have at least the NHL portion of the pack available by the end of October, but I might be able to get it out sooner if people can help by uploading images of the team ices (AHL especially).

The Buffalo Sabres had the 3rd logo down painted on the HSBC Arena ice and Mike Gilbert tells us that every team that owns a third jersey is going to have their alternate logo painted at center ice just for preseason, Carolina has the 3rd jersey logo painted at center on their home ice the hurricane warning flag with a triangle. When the regular season comes it will be back to the real logo.

The shots are pretty close up so it looks like there's a ton of cuts and snow. When you pan backwards it looks as clean as it does right after the skate-around before a period starts.

I like and Iam glad to hear you maybe releasing both 1x and 2x. I use 2x and I was wondering is this going to be 09 ice for NHL08 or are you not releasing it for 08

It should work for NHL07-NHL09 in both 1X and 2X.

BETA release?
I'm thinking of putting a beta release together of the 10 ice textures done so far (representing 33% of the NHL). If anybody would be interested in taking these for a test drive, send me a PM or reply to this post. I think the textures are very accurate, but it's important that they get a passing grade from fans who follow these teams much closer than I do.
